Does that mean I'm in competition with myself? The SEO service is predominantly about on page SEO work, so checking things like Titles and Descriptions, and ensuring the user hasn't found a way to stop the search engines doing their thing.

2010-10-19 Been working on Google Merchant Center import for a client at ZyNet. This brings imported products into Google's shopping search and can be used as a very basic eCommerce package. Early days but the statistics suggest not a lot of people choose the "Shopping" search in the UK, tucked away as it is in Google's menu. Those considering it should probably do EBay or Amazon integration work first, unless they plan to use Google checkout for payments when it might be a useful approach.

With the UK Moretonhampstead accommodation domain, and the .COM Moretonhampstead accommodation domain. I suspect they may have to provide more content related to Dartmoor accommodation to succeed, but at least they now have the domain names.

PPC advertising of a rather crude Nintendo DS Lite shop based on the Amazon Ashop widget failed to make a profit. Seems that the shop itself makes a healthy 9% of visitors who move around the shop buy something, but that at 5% commission from Amazon, that justifies only about 0.05 pence per click at Google to break even. Unsurprisingly competition in Adwords for the relevant searches is quite fierce. There is a fair divide between the number of "clicks" Google send through, and the number of visitors Amazon report.

So far 3 hours has me the domain, a Wordpress install, and Amazon Affiliate links, and I've started the off site SEO work.
